Longtime lurker, I think this is actually the first time I have ever created a post. Anyone concerned with the news that Leonard will be back in March? They could be pretty salty if he is back and healthy. Hope the news isn’t true but was wondering about the boards thoughts.

    It’ll go from a sweep to a gentleman’s sweep.

Let him come back. I see no fear. Might as well win the championship beating full strength teams. Don't want an asterisk next to the Larry O Brien

If we are at our best, then we can beat the Spurs with Leonard.

Hopefully the conflict blows up their team and Popovich retires forever.

I welcome his return. We shouldn't be worried about having to face other teams at full strength. It makes our path tougher, but also makes victory over them all the sweeter.

And if the Rockets continue on their roll and get the #1 seed, its the Warriors that would have to play them in the 2nd round. All the better for us!

Not even close to a spurs fan. I ****ing loathe them. Grew up in Houston and attended UT which is where my username comes from. Thank God for nba Reddit streams as we are always blacked out on root sports here.

The Rockets have added Paul/Tucker/Moute/Green/Johnson/Black and Wright to their team......... that is 5-6 rotational players including the best point guard in the world.

The Spurs have added? Rudy Gay.

If the Rockets cannot beat the Spurs, then they sure aren't beating the Warriors.

That is even assuming the Rockets play the Spurs, it very well could be that San Antonio plays Golden State.

Have you been watching the rockets at all... I am not being a homer but seriously no team scares me.. We are the new bullies in town, Warriors are the defending champs, they should be scared, spurs should be scared.. we are the new scary monster that does the scaring.. I got to say Raptors are playing a similar role in the east, but we do it better ;)

WELCOME bro, but I think the Rox with this unit is better than SA this year. A LOT of drama for the tame Spurs, and I think it'll rest it's head again before the season is done. Rox in 5 if they meet.

Nope. I think the Rockets are capable of beating them either way and I don't think Leonard is going to play enough for SAS to be in sync come playoff time. I hope they are full throttle personally because I would love to beat them at their best.

They are 11-13 in the calendar year, not a small sample size. If they continue to play this way, the Spurs and their fanbase should be concerned about getting into the playoffs. Other than that, they can easily end up anywhere from 3rd on, and no one knows if we'll be 1st or 2nd. The odds that we face the Spurs in the playoffs are as low as they have been since the start of the season.

    The short answer: no.
