http://abclocal.go.com/ktrk/story?section=news/local&id=6295351 KATY, TX (KTRK) -- More than a dozen members of a Katy ISD cheerleading squad stand accused of taking the hazing of underclassmen way too far. The mother and sister of one of the younger girls told us the seniors put the underclassmen in danger. "When a girl (BEEP) in her pants and puts her pants on another girl's head, that's just disgusting," said the sister of a Morton Ranch High School junior varsity cheerleader. The sister described some of what she calls hazing that her sister and 13 other JV cheerleaders recently endured. The girl told us 14 varsity cheerleaders, a student manager and a mascot picked up the girls late one night last week as part of a traditional initiation. "The girls are woken up in the middle of the night and taken to breakfast and that's it," she said. That's what usually happens to new cheerleaders. This time the seniors stand accused of taking hazing too far. The JV girls claim the seniors bound them and tossed them in a pool. "Once you duct tape someone's hands, blindfold them throw them in a pool, start flicking their body parts, that's way too far," she said. Her mother echoed the same sentiment to us. Katy ISD officials found out about the alleged incident the next day and told us quote, "The district is investigating an alleged off-campus incident possibly involving inappropriate behavior by certain students." The sister we talked to wants the seniors responsible to face punishment as laid out by the school district. "Hazing means you get kicked off the team and extracurricular activities," she said. All of the Morton Ranch High School cheerleaders are at a cheer camp at Texas A&M University. The parents were reportedly told their girls will be safe.
Wow.. Cant they just make the underclassmen wear baby bibs and suck on pacifiers all day during school.. That's what they did at Katy when I was there, but tossing someone in the pool all tied up is WAY over the top..
That seems to be the thing with sorority/female groups. I have read several stories of females being bound an tossed into water. A sorority out in California did it several years ago and killed to pledges.

Actually no. You're thinking of Cinco Ranch, Seven Lakes or Taylor. Katy, Morton Ranch and Mayde Creek are the more diversified schools in the district.
