The Rocket Gods returned the Karma to you Ron!

"When you get a chance to play for same organization that had Hakeem Olajuwon and Clyde [Drexler], you've got to appreciate that," says Artest. "This is definitely the high point of my career. It's the biggest opportunity I've ever had playing basketball.

"I should definitely make the team better. There's no ifs, ands or buts about it. I already know what kind of coach [Rick] Adelman is, and I definitely should be able to help out."

For that OTHER person, Karma got him too.

If I listen to your lies would you say
    Im a man without conviction
Im a man who doesnt know
    How to sell a contradiction
    You come and go
    You come and go

I remember that quote from Ron the first day he got here.
And to me, as a longtime Rocket fan, that means alot when you respect who built clutch city.

Dream heard it, he smiled and told God to let us pass the first round cause we have someone who respects the spirit of Clutch City.

    We don't forget Ron. Thanks.

    Great thread!

Ron respects the organization, the city, the history, and the fans. He's earned his success and praise.

I still want him gone unless he accepts $8M for 3 years and we get a wing player that pushes him to the 3rd option offensively. He thinks he is LeBron on offense but is really LeBrick.

I don't. The last time this ever happened was in 1997. I don't want to wait another 12 years for us to advance anywhere.

Ron has embraced the city, the history, and even wanted a clutchfans account.

I'll take his weaknesses cause I know his intangible strengths finally ended our curse.

I'm all for resigning artest. Though he takes bad shots sometimes he has the luxury of being a great defender and making up for some of his bad shots.

When your number 1 offensive player shoots great you can almost book a win but when he doesn't the game is basically a loss.

With Artest it's a bit different you can really squeeze out a win even when he's not shooting well just for the fact that he's still fighting hard on the other end. if we can find an offensive player that pick up the scoring slack when things aren't going well for artest we'll be even greater.

T-mac was that guy. I think injuries though have let that ship sail though. That's very unfortunate in my book. I would love to have seen this team 100% healthy.

I was wondering where Ron went... they didn't show that on TNT. The camera was focused only on the court. The commentators didn't even mention Ron going into the crowd. Stupid TNT.

As for Ron, he can be a knucklehead sometimes on the court, but he's a tru warier, and he brings nothing but heart to this Rockets organization, unlike he who shall not be named.

You could go through all the pluses and minuses of Ron Artest and a lot of people think his weaknesses outwiegh the pluses but he was a big part of the team that got us out of the first round for the first time in over a decade...
we shouldn't want to take a way from a team that finally made progress we should want the team to add to itself...
With that being said in my opinion the red hottttsss should
    RESIGN ARTEST!!!

Artest is going to get a huge dose of Karma once Kobe is done with him. I just hope Ron can STFU and not get completely embarrassed *again*, only on a higher stage this time.

I'd rather Shane get most of the time against Kobe since we'll be depending on Ron offensively, as well. He'll need to conserve what energy he can.

He is not smart, but he is tough.
He is not most talented player, but he gives 100%.
He is not superstar, but he only cost as much as half.

    Ron Ron is Ron Ron.
    Resign him.

why don't you stay in the first round of the playoffs with your hero.
or go play World of Warcraft with your character ItsOnMe#1 and cast your magical spell that summons a gigantic bus and throws all the enemies and teammates alike under it.
