Kanye West - Teeth taken out for diamond encrusted gold teeth!

I would imagine MOST people, including many people that might actually enjoy or listen to Kanye music, think this is pretty stupid.

I wouldn't paint a wide brush on "valuing this perception" as you might. Kanye West has shown through some actions of his own that he has a pretty skewed perception of reality, even amongst the skewed perceptions of most celebrities.

 

Investing in Gold and diamonds is smarter than investing in houses or cars though.

Plus, what do all of those self help experts say?

"This" i.e. him getting his teeth replaced is not why he has greatness in him or is considered "great" within his profession.

If Kevin Durant got a tatoo of Dame Judy Dench on his back, would he cease being a great basketball player? Would you question his greatness?

Nobody who likes Kanye as a performer thinks he's a great person. We could probably exceed his score on an IQ test or the SATs. His judgement is suspect at best. But when I put my headphones on to listen to and enjoy his music, who gives a sh-t? I'm not asking him to do anything more than create a good jam. In his chosen field, in my opinion, he has achieved "greatness."

And it terms of "what happened to this country..." Seriously, if Kanye was our biggest problem, we'd be in a lot better shape.

 

Lil' Wayne had all his teeth done, not just his bottom row. He had them taken out before he went to prison though lol

 

At least the value of gold and diamonds will only go up so it's an investment haha.

 

I thoroughly enjoy Kanye and the hundreds of other rappers/artists that do not convey a message I support or subscribe to. I live completely below my means and do not have gold teeth. His lyrics reflect a lifestyle choice that I did not make, but it doesn't mean they're "idoicy."

Again, this is my opinion, because I believe music is completely subjective and within the right context and looking at certain aspects, almost all of it has merit somewhere... but when I listen to Kanye, I hear some real genius... regardless of whether I apporove of the lifestyle being portrayed.

You have to admit, that's pretty good wordplay... or am I crazy? Not to mention I think his producing skills are off the charts good. The songs he did on Jay-Z's "black album" are awesome.

Face it... the dudes at Enron and Goldman Sachs and AIG, etc are not jammin Kanye. In fact they were more likely suburban white kids that jammed NWA in the 80's.

Kanye and this style is not a symptom of the disease, it's a side-effect of it.

 

Just to clarify the situation...Kanye said that he had his lower teeth replaced by these gold/diamond teeth. Thats impossible. You cant put gold into the socket and have it "stick".

There are only 2 possible situations:

1. Most likely situation is that he had his lower teeth trimmed and the gold/diamond crowns were placed on top.

2. He had titanium implants placed...which takes 6 months to set/heal...then you'd place the gold/diamond crowns on top of the dental implant.

The only way the 2nd option makes any sense is if his bottom teeth were in bad shape and he wanted them pulled and replaced with implants. Otherwise, option 1 would be the route to take.

 

He isn't buying bullion, he is buying jewelry.

 

Rumor had it that he's been missing the bottom row of teeth for a while. Ever since his accident a few years back, he's never been seen in pictures really showing the bottom row of his teeth. Therefore I would assume he just had them implanted in the missing slot.

 

He posted a pic on his twitter a few months ago.

It's his mouth and he can do whatever he wants with it. I wouldn't do it, but more power to him, he's got the money for it. So F it.

I read about this - Wayne still has his real teeth, but he had his grill permanently attached. He was going to wear them to jail since they were permanent, but the prison was obviously no you're not. Plus someone would have ripped that 250,000 dollars out of his mouth (yes he had $250,000 worth of gold/ diamonds in his mouth).

not sure why anyone would get worked up over it either way.

 

Man, this ain't nothing new. Folks down here in Houston, mainly the rappers, have been doing that for years. Kanye does it and its all over the internet lol.
