anyone catch Kanye on his recently completed tour, or ever seen him on stage?

Brilliant. Cannot say enough about his show.

The guy just flat out kills it in concert.

i wouldnt even go see Kanye for free. That guy is the biggest arrogant popmus ******* in music today. They guy thinks he some kind of musical genius or something, but he only had a few good tracks on his first album and that was it. Kanye is way too overrated in my opinion. He might put on a good performance in concert though, hes high energy. But only because his music blows.

he is pretty good though. I'm not a fan or R&B but I like his style.

better than songs like "Laffy Taffy", or "Back that ass up", or "the i'm gettin some head song."

I know those songs were geared to be "anthemic booty shakin songs," but those songs are absolutely the worst choice in music producing of all time. Then compare to that to Kanye. He's not that bad anymore.

yea but if u compare those crappy songs to ANY kind of music, it wont be bad anymore. songs like laffy taffy are a disgrace to music. plus Kanye West isnt considered R&B, hes considered Rap.

who in the genre doesnt have a pompous side? To me, West is innovative, a born performer and a lyrically gifted rapper.

the fact that he's aware of these things himself doesnt make him different to other rappers (or whatever) it makes him honest...

He's also still delusioned into thinking he's more talented than he actually is. He will be a mere footnote in the genre within 5 years.

Like aussie rocket said who doesn't have a big ego in the industry. You seem to be basing your decision on the fact that he is pompous. Just listen to the music and forget the back story.

He's a great on-stage performer; there are very few artists I can say the same thing about, most tend to suck as on-stage performers, not Kanye.
