Would you do it? What if they wanted K9 to go along with the pick?

    I don't know if I'd do it.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but isn't Kandi a free agent at the end of this season??

    I believe he's a restricted free agent.

Which means they can't trade him for a draft pick until after the draft actually happens and the Clippers sign and trade him.

    i never saw pocahantes.

    and..

we already have an untalented center with "potential", we dont need another one.

keep this team intact. with KT mo taylor eddie griffin, rice comes off the bench...steves migraines go away, cuttino improves, we make the playoffs next year, and are a contender for years to come. no stupid trades needed..

    :(

Well if we get better through a trade and shed some big salary then I'm all for it. I don't think the Rockets will stand around and do nothing this offseason, they will explore every avenue for improvment

i would never trade either the pick or kt straight up for kandi, let alone both. he's a decent big body, that's it. i'd take my chance with marcus before kandi and we could easily get him with 7 if we wanted.

You guys obviously haven't watched Kandi this season. He ahs an actual post game (rarity in the NBA), has a go-to shot, and plays good D.

A Cato/Kandi tandem would be one of the better C rotations in the league.

Collier + KT + #6 pick + #14 pick + Mooch (If Dooling is included)

    for

Odom + Kandi + Dooling (If Mooch is included)

Collier is JUST A THROW IN, happy?

sane, i've seen a decent share of olawakandi this year and i'm just not that impressed. his demeanor reminds me too much of the "old" cato. i acknowledge his post up game but at his size he could do so much more. he is a HUGE underacheiver, though if a fire was lit under him, he could be a beast. a tandem of kandi and cato just seems like a huge risk and if the decision were for one or the other i'd take cato.

Olowokandi and Odom for Rice, Cato, and the #7 pick. It works out both ways.

    .......Cato.....Olowakandi
    Pts....6.7............9.7
    Reb...7.0............8.9
    Blks...1.23.........1.83
    Asts...0.3...........0.9
    Stls....0.56.........0.56
    TO.....0.6...........1.8
    PPA...1.496........0.976
    Min...25.6..........30.7

Comparing Cato and Kandi, it looks like Kandi is a shade better. However, the Points per Attempt is glaringly in favor of Cato. I know it is abnormally high because he is only allowed to shoot on alley-oops and putbacks. But, he's accepted that role (grudgingly) and, as a result, is very efficient on offense, if not much of a threat much of the time.

If we had Kandi instead, he'd probably get stuck in precisely the same role Cato has got now: fewer minutes, only allowed to shoot gimmes. Kandi's TOs and PPA are not really good enough to want to give him the ball otherwise.

He's starting to come into his own this season. I believe in a few seasons, he'll be a force. And true, a Cato/Kandi rotation would be one of the better ones in the league.

Watch for the Clipps (Sterling really) to make a move this off-season. He believes players shouldn't be paid millions and millions of dollars to play b-ball. Maggette, Odom, Brand, Dooling, and Kandi are all looking for contract extensions this off-season. I guranntee they all don't get one.

Sterling is going to look for draft picks in any trade so I wouldn't be suprised if some of the Clipps are Rockets next season.
