    1. Yao Ming, Rockets: Durability weighs heavily in my rankings and Yao hasn’t missed a start in two years. Plus, he’s on the fast lane toward 20-10-2 every night now that Houston’s other superstar, Tracy McGrady, is cool with Jeff Van Gundy’s Yao-oriented system.

    2. Tracy McGrady, Rockets: Some think T-Mac -- like Steve Francis before him -- will take a huge statistical hit now that he’s playing in Jeff Van Gundy’s inside-first system. Not true. T-Mac -- unlike Francis -- wants to play with Yao Ming, who wants to play with T-Mac. Trust me, there’s plenty of room on this roster for both Yao and Tracy to get theirs.

Well, while it's still here: while it's very complimentary, I wouldn't follow the advice. McGrady will get good numbers, but they will definitely be going down from last year. Rockets play the game at a slower pace. And, I'd be hesitant to take Yao over Shaq. Shaq may miss time with injury, but his stats will squash Yao's (except FTs).

Whats good about Yao is that he's solid in every single category. He's not gonna hurt you in anything. Shaq on the other hand will basically single-handedly ruin you're ft% and having him on your team is flushing a category down the toilet. Shaq gets a ton of points and rebounds, but those are probably the easiest categories to find overall from other people.

how much more do you think Shaq will score compared to Yao?

Im thinking this year Yao will have stats comparable to Shaq's what Yao lacks in shots he makes up with a high FT%.

    Yao's stat line this season.

    22pts/11rebs/3apg/2blks 51% FG

more touches mean more shots and Yao usually scores at an efficient over 50% FG clip.

im worried about this rebounding numbers but I think he will score plenty and efficiently.
