?

Who should get the majority of the minutes backing up T-Mac and Jim Jackson?

JVG needs to give BOKI his chance this season....

He showed signs against the Lakers of being a quality backup role player. Throughout the season he showed signs of being able to (1) knock down 3's (2) take it to the rack. I agree that he was highly inconsistent and his defense needs work, but I think that had to do more with confidence and lack of opportunity. Last season when he was on the court it was with Yao, Steve and Cuttino. Steve and Cuttino don't command a double team. Yao and T-Mac both command a double team. If not, they'll score 90% of the time. There will be alot more looks for JJ and Boki. A guard rotation of JJ, Boki, T-Mac, Sura, Ward and Lue is O.K. Assuming Pike doesn't step up, Reece doesn't cut it and Griffin is injured again, our guard rotation will be and upgrade from last season. It'll look like this:

    Yao/Howard/Taylor
    Howard/ Taylor/Spoon
    JJ/Boki/Gaines/Pike/Griffin
    T-Mac/Sura/Boki
    Ward/Lue

Besides he's in a contract year, if he doesn't perform bench him toward the end of the season and don't resign him.
