During the Lakers/Cavs, JVG raved about how Carl Landry was the runaway winner of the 6th man award this season.

Yeah, the other announcer didn't want to hand it Landry yet but barring an injury Landry seems to be the favorite.

He didn't say Landry was a lock. He said Landry was far and away the best 6th man. Whether the voters will agree is another matter.

No one deserves it more than landry. One of the toughest players in the league.

Who needs nationally televised games when JVG calls them on ESPN. He always gives the Rockets props and recognition.

It's funny how when JVG mentioned Landry, neither of his broadcast partners commented. It's like they were going "Who dat? Crazy Jeff making **** up again."

i believe the conversation amongst the commentators was something like this:

scrub commentator: "gosh, why isnt varejao in the sixth man award talk?"
jvg: "because carl landry in houston is killing it."

scrub commentator: "so i understand carl landry is your number one candidate for sixth man but..."
jvg: "and my number two candidate!"

    jvg owns.

I wonder if some part of Van Gundy is sad that he didn't get to coach the Rockets with this deep a bench.
