10 (10) Rockets 34-25 JVG is going to end Rockets' playoff drought, but the challenge then is avoiding a Texas team in the first round. Houston is 2-21 against San Antonio over the past six seasons, and has never beaten Dallas with Yao in the lineup.

i don't mind playing San Antonio, Minnesota or LA in the first round.

I just don't want to see Sacramento or Dallas.

Does it really matter as long as we won't see David Stern in the first round? We haven't been there in 5 years - BELIEVE. :)

JVG is going to end it? More like Yao Ming is going to end it, or Stockton and Malone are going to end it by leaving the Jazz, or Phoenix and Portland are going to end it by imploding.

well... in JVG's defense we had pretty much the same team last year. and this year we are doing better. there are fatalists out there that get angry after every loss, but last year i remember losing to really crappy teams sometimes, at least this year we are winning SOME of those games.

yao is getting better, but some of his improvements can be traced back to JVG's trust in him and dedication to feeding him the ball. if he didn't make Yao the first option, i'm sure yao wouldn't have improved much.

    ESPN's comments on the sonics:

Make that two things Seattle needs besides a dependable big man: Brent Barry (5-11 without him) and more games against Houston (Sonics are 3-0 vs. Rockets).

    LOL.
