This is my first thread started. Please keep this clean, there are going to be hundreds of threads calling for JVG's head, so please post there. More than likely there is going to be a new coach for the Rockets next season, and probably deservedly so. He has been with this team for 4-5 years and we still haven't gone past the first round. But he truly is a workohlic, and prepares his team everytime out there. The guy spent his own hard earned money so that the Toyota Center could have a slight change environment besides the library voices that use to take place. Wherever JVG ends up I wish him the best.
Thats all this thread was aimed for, guess people here have no morals. It was not directed to extend Gundy or anything just made to wish him the best.
It has been enough during his reign the ROX have had their worst records: Worst team defeat in the NBA playoffs history against Dallas by 40 NBA record for a non scoring bench in the playoffs ROX lowest scoring quarters in their team history First time in ROX history to lose after a 2-0 start in the playoffs ROX trailed in every game in halftime in the series, first in NBA history 5 years with no win in the first round in the playoffs and lots more.... can anyone share them with us?
I wish he had only stayed here for 4-5 months, not 4-5 years. Look, other than Yao and T-Mac, who he has ever developed?? maybe Hayes, but he only has heart and hustle, he could not ball nothing. Where is Yao's passing and high post game?? where is MJ?? where is Novak, VSpan?? No appreciatetion for you. Please leave Houston and save me some some anger and hairs.
McGrady had some very nice things to say about JVG in the press conference. The guy has earned the respect from his players, and that's good enough for me. I think it's 50/50 on him coming back. I know we can win with JVG. We need better, more reliable role players. We need more athleticism and size in the backcourt. We need more skilled players -- guys who can handle and create plays.
Good luck Gumby. Thanks for turning us into Choke City over the past few years. Don't let the door hit you on your way out.
JVG did a great job this season. Unfortunately, anything other than advancing past the first round equaled an automatic failure. I think Van Gundy is going to resign. He is taking this harder than anyone else, I'll bet.
That tells you JVG is an overachiever. The Jazz team clearly has more weapons. How the hell did Rox even win 3 games against them?
JVG has single handedly made the Houston Rockets turn into the Houston Robots. Fire him and get Rudy back here. RUDY! RUDY! RUDY!
Thats because they take on bad contracts and sucky players. Rafer Alston, John Lucas III, Juwan Howard, Vassilis Spanoulis,
