Since we got rid of Mo Taylor for Vin Baker. We have two highly heralded PFs of the 90s. Both were Eastern Conference All Stars back in the day. Who was better in their prime?

I wonder if John Lucas is still around. Maybe we can hire him to 'coach' Vin back.

Vin was a very good/balanced PF.

21ppg/10.5rpg! His only weakness was his FT%.

I used to love watching his offensive rebounds! He just had a kack for that.

Glen Robinson got more attention than Vin. I thought that Vin was over-all better than Glen.

During his first few years in the legue Vin Baker was a beast. He had a lot of post moves. Hakeem commended him on his post moves and offensive ability. If he hadnt wasted his talent, he could have been a career double-double guy. *sigh* :(

I thought the poll was between Vin and JHo (not Big Dog).

I believe he was just tring to say that back then, even though Glen Robinson was looked at more highly for his scoring abilities, Vin baker was a better player. His independent analysis just to get the point across?

    Just my guess. :)

    What zboy said.

And yes, JHo wasn't as good as Vin was as far as PF's go. Mainly his rebounds gave him an egde. Even thought JHo's FT% have always been good.

Vin was a better defender as well.

JHo had better perimeter skills, though. And he got paid better, if it counts for anything.

I head Vin was a very good lockerroom guy. I imagine he still is.

Yes, it counts for all the tinman JHo-hate! That, and the fact that JHo comes from Michigan. Tinman's "favorite" university!

    :D

Definately Baker, he was a beast. His career is similar to that of Kemp's, IMO. Both shined, and then ran into off court problems and weight problems.

Is this a joke?... at one point due to Vins play, the critics were calling the kemp Baker swap even. Vin was putting up 21 and 10 easy. shame what happen from then on. i hope he sorts out his personal problems above all. anything else is bonus.

When Vin Baker played for Seattle - he always smoked the Rockets on scoring ar the 4 - but we did not have anyone to defend him. I hope he can contribute off the bench and score.

He scored at will against us when he played for Seattle....

Vin - he was a freak back in the day. Heard he was interviewed about the trade and he said he still had a lot of game left and didn't want to just sit on the bench. He was looking forward to contributing and helping this team contend for title. I hope he can walk the walk, it would be great if he turns out to be the answer at the 4.

I have not seen him play in a long time. Does anyone know how he is playing or what kind of shape he is in?? Alchohol can be devastating physically and mentally-I remember what it did to Pistol Pete Maravich' game.

I hope Vin Baker can still play.......

    Vin was a monster.

Howard could never do what Vin could do.

    1) Baker
    2) Howard
    3) Spoon
    4) Deke

All has been big men. Meet your 2005 Rockets bench (minus Howard of course):)
