This game was on TNT so millions saw it.
We all know what I think, what is your opinion NOW about him?

Wasnt his night tonight. Shots werent falling for him, and he usually makes them. He, MoT and JJ sometimes take to the hole and lack the finish touch. These three need to figure out where the shots are for them in the system. We play slow, inefficient plays cost us dearly.

Dang will be so good once we play efficiently.

personally i would like to see him in the starting lineup. he can help on our defense and rebounding to start games. we can then bring in Mo for instant offense. by doing this we can also, hopefully, keep Mo out of foul trouble and around for the end of games.

j-howard should really start. i don't know if it was preseason or begining of the season when our bench use to save us in games when yao and t-mac don't perform and who use to lead the bench, mo taylor. we just need to follow two points in order to win.
1- mo taylor come off the bench
2- need tough defense in 4th quarter.

    Oh Tinman, PLEASE shut up:mad:
we know you do not like Howard, we accept it, but you should not start a thread about it every game he plays less good. It is getting anoying, i have never put anybody on my ignore list, but i am willing to make an exeption for you.

Howard is an ok player not great but he is definitly on of our 5 best players

Its obvious from today that he's looking to increase his stats. he doesnt look to pass at all, even with Tmac and Yao on our team.

Defense?? I can argue Mo Taylor is a better defensive player. Mo blocks shots and he's rebounding the ball. The stats dont lie.

And for those who are complaining. Am I right?
I told you guys that Juwan brings teams down, he has never in 1 year been on a winning team in his entire NBA career.

And for you Jeff Van Gundy haters.
The Houston Rockets last year were one of the BEST TEAMS in the league at the start. We whipped the Knicks by 20pts or so last year.

Its obvious that the supporting cast now sucks.
We lost Cato whom I thought was a great defensive player and he wasnt a selfish player like Howard.

    We lost Cuttino.
    We lost Steve.
    We gained Tmac.

So we traded 2 great players and a decent Center for one great player and Orlando's trash. You think they would just trade us TMac straight up? Hell no. They wanted to get rid of Howard after just one year. We had to take him.

So for all of you giving me crap about Howard. Lay off Van Gundy and look at the players. Van Gundy took us to the playoffs last year cause our supporting cast was much better. We were deeper, blame it Carol Dawson for not spotting the need for better role players.

Any championship team has great role players. We dont have them yet. So put me and the TRUTH on your ignore list. Cause you can't handle it when someone is right.

Stats dont lie. You can't hate stats. Stats dont hate back.

Juwan when he's on the court affects us negatively. Its statistically proven.

Wait, wait, wait....let me see if I get this straight.

The whole point of your continued threads on Howard - other than to increase your post count and call attention to yourself - is that you believe he is the reason this team hasn't come together?

    He's not the star.
He's not focal point of our offense.
He's not even getting big starter minutes.
He wasn't who we traded for.

If we actually got offered a good deal that would improve this team further, and it included Howard, he'd be gone anyway.

What, exactly, is it you want here? (Other than the two points above)

    I'm second you!

We lack toughness. By the wau, Lue, Ward and Howard essencially play for their contract not for win. That's what I talk about: heart!

JVG did make the mistake in putting MM on the bench at same time early 4th qtr, which turns out a horrible decision.

I agree. Juwan Howard has been exposed as a stat guy who cares not about the team. The guy should have figured out he was plain hurting the team after his 3rd consecutive missed shot or so. It came back to hurt the Rockets since those missed shots could have been converted by someone else.

I was booted from chat room by saying "howard is cancer" in the second quarter last night. Unfortunately we lost the game with 11 points lead into the 4th quarter again. There are many reasons to lose, but mediocre forward is always the key and you know whom I mean.

I for one have never liked howard from the very beginning. Ask yourself a question to anyone that actually feels like juwon howard is a help to this team: "What was he traded 5 times in the last 5 years?" It surely isn't by coincidence.

The fact is juwon only has one shot. If you watched last nights game, it was a perfect example. Set-up in the low block, fake left, hook right. He does it everysingle time. Whenever he goes left for a fadaway, it usually gets blocked or is an air-ball.

Juwon, is everything that Mo Taylor is but worse. You can always count on him for 1-2 offensive fouls on pick and rolls and basically i can stand his ugly-ass shot.

I know what you mean, but I calling him a 'cancer' is probably offensive to some. I refer to him as the 'Titanic' or 'Brick House'

What a bunch of hypocrites here (no names give). You can have a thousand 'FIRE JEFF VAN GUNDY" threads, but you get railed for saying Juwan is not good? There are stats that back it up and obvious play. I'm glad millions and millions of TnT NBA viewers saw how he played.
We're not talking about some rookie out of college.

Chris Bosh is in his second year in the league and he's better than Juwan has even been in his 10 years.

This is the problem, Juwan is used to being a starter. He isn't and shouldn't be because he is not better than Mo Taylor. Juwan's time is limited off the bench and he wants to keep his stats up, so he chucks up shots regardless of how many people are open. Look at his assists.

What we need is an unselfish player like Robert Horry who does the little things and steps up in crunch time. Juwan doesn't compliment Tmac and Yao. We need to add some people that compliment Tmac's 1 on 1 skills and Yao's low post skills. Its not a fluke that we play well with Padgett is on the floor. He's a role player and he knows his role. Shoot wide open jumpers or pass it to the big fella.

You can put some blame on Van Gundy but we were great under him last year and no one complained.

Criticize Mo Taylor, (run Francis and Mobley out of town) and Jeff Van Gundy and you are ok on this board, but tell the TRUTH about Howard and people think you are Judas.

I think you should continue writing reports on Jho, but you should do it after every game instead of just his poor ones. Every game. Its apparent that you have very strong feelings on the matter, so I encourage you to write a detailed report, at least 2-3 pages long, about Juwan after every game. this way we can have an actual log. Don't bother keeping it all in one thread either, just start a new one every game. I'm sure lots of other people are interested, they are just lurkers.

You know what Shawn you're right. I should stop complaining and enjoy the bad PF play and enjoy losses to Atlanta and New York.
Maybe I should I join the 'I HATE VAN GUNDY' threads because all of you enjoy posting there.

Great I'm looking forward to a high draft pick next year. Maybe an athletic team player.

You are right. We can't criticize how bad our players are only our coaches.
