Just when you thought the Real World couldn't sink lower

I was expecting this to be about A Shot at Love II with Tila Tequila.

 

So why bother watching it?

I'm sorry but I read all this stuff about the RW sux so bad now and blah blah,
I agree for the most part but then people start threads like this. If the show sux or is getting worse an worse, don't watch it.

Are you talking about when the black guy with crazy hair hooked up with the tall black guys girl? They're all trashy.

I saw some "where are they now - reality show stars" thing on VH1 last night while waiting for the bball game to start. They had Jon, the country singer in the 2nd episode of the Real World on there. It reminded me of the fact that The Real World USED to be somewhat interesting, when they put 7 halfway interesting people with totally different backgrounds on there.

It ain't like that anymore. Now, they just put a bunch of fratboy meatheads in with a bunch of loose bimbos, mix in a bunch of alcohol and there's your show. Not very compelling anymore...

I stopped watching any crap on MTV except some episodes of A Shot at Love with Tila Season 1...

RW is just a group of dumb hormonal people.

I miss Road Rules. Are they still showing it? It's better than RW. I thought Patrick on Road Rules X-TREME was hot!

 

I think this cast is boring. Every season gets worst. I like watching the challenge shows better.

Yeah the stripper talked about getting an abortion on one of the shows. I think those two white girls are undercover hoochies acting like they're freaking mother teresa.

 

I dunno, but I remember a decade ago when I used to watch them I liked RR better. The only RR (and last one I watched) I liked was the one in France. Those were some hot girls. I forgot who the guys were tho.. but who cares about them.

Anyways, I can't wait 'till MTV goes bankrupt and burns to a fiery grave.

 

The Real World was actually good up to and including San Francisco (season 3). After that, the producers ruined everything by purposefully selecting entrants based on how likely they were to w**** it up, go on a drunken rampage, or run around the house in the nude. Not to mention that at least 1 of the 7 people has to be gay, at least 2 of the 7 people have to have some deeply scarring skeletons in their closet, and at least 5 of the 7 people seemingly have to come from the modeling industry.

It's gotten well past the point where people across the country aren't auditioning to be on a real life sociological experiment. They're auditioning to live in a mansion getting drunk and having sex for 6 months before they graduate to reality "star" and do every follow up show under the sun in order to stay relevant.

Now I'm not knocking anybody for being attractive or marketable and capitalizing on that. I'm just saying that it ruined what used to be a pretty good show that made a fairly honest and legitimate attempt to show us how 7 people from different walks of life would interact in a living situation.

Now it's just a freak show, which I'm sure many people actually prefer. It's still on TV after all...

That Tila show is absolutely awful...I don't even think she's that hot...I tried watching it once and man it was ridiculous...

 

It's the Real World we're talking about here. Don't you mean "Who's gone to 3rd base?"

MTV is setting a fine example for youth with its myriad of educational programming. With shows like A Shot At Love, Next, My Super Sweet 16, The Hills, and The Real World, I'm confident that the youth of today will grow up to become wonderful, upstanding members of society. And by that, I mean slutty, whiny, emo, lazy drama queens with a warped sense of entitlement. Thanks, MTV!

Will someone please think of the children!

 

I have to wonder how much these shows are damaging the youth of America. Then again, I grew up on Beavis and Butthead. Do teenagers watch this Real World crap? It seems tailor-made for housewives, but kids dooo love the sex on TV.
