So I just watch Goodfellas for the first time and I’m wondering why is Henry Hill not dead? In real life is no longer in the witness protection program.

Cause most of the guys he sold out are no longer movers and shakers in today's mob.

Watch Locked Up Abroad - The Real Goodfella.

Great episode and it shows a bunch of stuff left out in the movie.

The people he betrayed are either dead or in prison. Most of them are dead.

But isn’t it a deadly sin to be a rat No matter how longs it’s been? They must have relatives don’t they?

Anyway my next movie I must see is ET.

I recently saw an episode of "Locked Up Abroad" starring Henry Hill. It was kind of weird, because he was locked up in the U.S., not abroad. It went over the Goodfellas story and then he talked about spending time in prison after he entered witness protection. He apparently lived in constant fear while in prison, but no one ever killed him. His wife and kids finally left him. Eventually, he was transferred to a prison rehab facility (seemed pretty cushy!) and that's when his book and the movie came out. Today, he's alive and well and nobody in organized crime today could care less who he is or what he did 40 years ago.

Lulz. Not really, seeing how he's a drunk and sells drunk paintings on Ebay. Just listen to some of his Howard Stern show appearances. Dude is broke, completely insane and a MAJOR alcoholic.

That means he is alive. And being drunk is pretty fun, and its awesome to make money selling crappy paintings. Winning.

Being drunk is pretty rad, but not when you're 80 something and broke with no family, slurring so bad you sound like a yawning puppy, and throwing up so much in public that Bourbon Street is jealous.

    Just sayin'.

Of course it is a sin, but he is a nobody in the world of organized crime today. According to some people, he was always pretty much a nobody. He had just been somewhat of a son to former Lucchese capo Paul Vario and that gave him a bit of street cred and a view of the inside of Vario's crew. Not many involved with that life would risk jail time or even increased heat to pop a guy like Hill.

It’s the same reason I also recently watch the all the Godfather and Star War movies for the first time, I thought their was no point to watch them since I know what happens because everyone has spoiled the movie for me. Was I ever wrong.
