I decided to give this on-line movie rental a try for one week and see how it goes. For 14.99 a month, I get to chose 3 movies at a time and if I'm done with one, I just sent it back and pick out another one. Sounds convienient and simple so far. Have anyone encountered any problems like movies coming in late, wrong movies or have a bill porblem? I just don't like the fact that they charge your card every month instead of billing you.
I've used Netflix for about a year and they're very quick on movie turnarounds compared to BB, and their selection is excellent...especially the music and documentary sections. My Que is neverending.
No way, man. Netflix is awesome. The good thing about Netflix is that they have an office in Houston. Blockbuster's closest one is in Dallas, so it takes a few days to get and return your movies. I stick a movie in my mailbox and 2 days later I have the next movie in my queue. Netflix is the bomb.
Love it! I've had netflix for about two years now and have never had a problem with billing, lost movies or anything. Very fast turnaround. Avarage about 4 movies a week.
Oh I definitely like netflix better. BB does have a distribution center in Houston now but somehow it's still slow. I'm just saying that you can't beat 2 months free ya know. And while you're getting the free service from BB, just resign up for netflix. Get double the movies
I passed on the most important question here...when new movies comes in, are you guranteed to get that movie or is it first come first serve like at the video store? Gosh, I hated when I had to wait an xtra week to rent new movies b/c they're always out.
While they don't guarantee a new release will be available immediatly, I have actually never had to wait more than a day extra, usually no wait at all.
I was netflix, then went blockbuster, now i'm heading back to netflix. The turn around time is just kick ass.
Its weird, I canceled my Netflix back in Feb, then BB had the promotion for the switch (2 free monts, free NEW DVD to keep, and 2 free instore rentals/monthly), in which all I had to do is forward my cancellation email. They let me do it. Been using it for almost 2 weeks, so far so good. Their turn around is the same as Netflix and their availiblity is excellent. I have rented a total of 12 DVDs, I may stick with BB since getting the 2 free instore rentals is a plus. My 2 cents about both at least
It was a special promotion sent to me randomly by email, but the catch here was that I had to joined 2 other promotion from the same comapany which I decided not to do yet and see if this NetFlix is any good.
I dropped NetFlix after 1 year of membership b/c they suck ass. They prolonged my period between receiving new DVDs from 2 days to 8 days. I called them up and gave them quite a b****storm. Alas, they couldn't care less, so I told them to **** off and cancelled my account. I HATE NETFLIX! I'm with Blockbuster now. If you show blockbuster your netflix cancellation, they give you 3 free months and a new free DVD of your choice!
I imagined you b****ed because it was around that time of the ... you know... and that's why your period got messed up. So how is your period ( ) now? + (your period)
This has been my experience also....I just sent two in yesterday evening, and judgin by past performance, I will get two more in tomorrow. they are damn fast
yeah, after trying blockbuster's free trial littered with mostly "long wait", "short wait" and scattered in between were the "available now" 's, there's no way in hell I'd touch blockbuster with a ten foot pole. been a happy netflix customer the last 5 months and don't intend on ever trying out blockbuster again.
