Haven't dated since 2004. I find a girl here, date for a few weeks, and she determines I'm not long term material. We both really like each other, but she's "preventing us from getting hurt more in the future because it won't work". This blows. I'm 27, a resident doctor, and live in a city where everyone's already married or dating their high school sweetheart (Cincinnati). In fact, this city was rated one of the worst places for singles to be. FML. I know I can't stay down for too long, but I'll do it for at least tonight.
Go to Cleveland. It's like the soviet russia circa 1989, plenty of broads looking to get outta the third world.
Not as a resident, most of them are saddled with lots of student loans to pay off. But eventually they come around.... DD

Sorry off-topic but do you know anything on St. Elizabeth in Edgewood? I have an interview there this month. Sorry about the dumpage. Go out and drink like a rockstar and start 2010 fresh on the hunt.
St elizabeth? what job/specialty? I'm anesthesia at Univ of Cincy.. all i know is we get a bunch of transfers from there when they can't figure out what's going on with their patients. Don't know much else. but yeah dumpage sucks. This gal was a doc as well, so i know she wasn't after the gold. She is a great girl who is a devout Christian, and I'm a Christian but not so devoted. She saw right through that, and determined it wouldn't work. It's too bad.. she was in tears when she tells me all this because she did have pretty strong feelings for me. She was struggling with it, though, and I could see it. It sucks when both sides like each other and it ends anyway.
Fam Med. Worth a shot to ask. Cheer up. maybe things will work out in the end, maybe not, but as for now, DRINK.
noted. Because once they determine something, especially relationship-wise, you really can't convince them otherwise. All it takes is time or a life-changing event for them to see another perspective.
brozef, I am sorry that you are having this experience. I can tell you though that if she really had strong feelings for you, she would still be with you. People can tell themselves logically that a relationship will not work for a variety of reasons. In the end, the heart wants what it wants.
