Who else knows has one or knows what i'm talking about? Man it was a long road and very challenging, had some of the best schooling. Got one of the nicest state instructors EVER! went easy on me! Doing this part-time with college, opens a lot of doors. 160 hrs fried me out!
What are you talking about? First thing that popped up on google searching "CDL" was commercial driver's license, followed by california digital library. lol
This is true. Another truth is you can no longer take defensive driving or deferred disposition for a moving violation, even if received in a non commercial vehicle. Your two choices are pay it or plead not guilty. Another truth is you can be ticketed for talking or texting on phone while driving commercial vehicle. My lawyer knows me rather well. Also say goodbye to renewing online as it is not an option for cdl holders. Everytme I renew I have to pay for a FBI/Homeland Security background check because I have haz-mat endorsement. Main thing to do is never ride dirty in commercial vehicle or personal vehicle. Even one citation can screw with your cdl. 20 year CDL holder.
Why did you get it while going to college? While I understand that truck drivers get paid pretty decent, it would seem like the two are mutually exclusive of each other. Any benefit of having both? You going into truck management or something?
Dgn1 is giving you good advice, hang on to this CDL and it can support you. I spent 20 years driving over the road and this job can be a blessing in many ways.
The important thing is that you must have your CB Jargon down. <iframe width="560" height="315" src="//www.youtube.com/embed/EnJEeHND_lQ" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe>
Can someone explain to me the significance and importance of holding onto a CDL? Like the benefits that come along with it. Honest question, Im just naive about the topic.
Hoping you're not going to be one of those dolts who flips their rig every other day on the freeways causing accidents and hours of traffic. Seems like this is a weekly thing now.
