Just got back from the game. Oh my, how much fun it was!

I was yelling and hollering all night doing whatever I can to fire up my Rockets!

    Some notes:

There were ALOT of Rocket fans in the crowd. Some were obviously "YOFs" but there were alot of normal Rocket fans rockin their red jerseys and hats as well. :)

I noticed the Rockets didn't go into the locker room during halftime, or if they did they came back pretty quickly because I probably left my seat for about 5 minutes and when I got back I saw them shooting around at one end of the court.

A while later, Stephon Marbury by his lone self came out and start shooting jumpers on the other end of the court for several minutes -- nailing most of his shots!

Stephon Marbury wears his "Starbury shoes"

I heard people yelling Marbury should have stayed at Rucker Park, and how Skip was schooling him bad. LOL

I started "Fire Isiah" Chant"s which seemed to catch on atleast for a few brief seconds lollll

I yelled DE-FENSE and Screamed YESSS!!! and pumped my fist after every Yao ming DUNK!

I screamed TURNOVERRRRRRRRRRRR everytime Eddy Curry had the ball

    My voice is horse now..

I was surprised by the seats we had. I somehow lucked out and ran upon some free tickets three hours before the game. I sat on the 2nd row of the lower level(not courtside level) and diagonally behind the Rockets bench, about six rows up! So I was maybe 20~25 feet from the Rockets bench! Pretty Cool!!

Some pics. Sorry crappy camera phone quality

so far as I know, one Chinese fan bought 260 group tickets, and they were sold out to Chinese students live around the NY area in 2 days!

LOL. The photo quality was not that bad for being so far away. It is clear. Just not close. 'Sides, is it not illegal to do such a thing? Lol. Let us be thankful our spy did not get caught!!!

They are horrible.. at least I think they are. But then I have two digital cameras that I have on me most all of the time so I hardly ever take pics with my phone.

I'll tell you one thing. I would have loved to be behind the basket watching Yao go to town at the basket. That one play where Yao did the windmill turn to catch a pass under the basket and then windmill turned in the opposite direction to dunk with two defenders trying to swat it...I kept watching that on my DVR and the look of all the fans right behind the basket was priceless. I've never seen so many mouths drop and people smile/laugh in amazement. They knew they were witnessing greatness watching Yao do whatever he wanted. Yao was drawing out a lot of the "oohs" and "ahhs" this game. He played a great game.

Re: Marbury shoes, there's a Starburys in Katy Mills, and I picked up 2 pairs of size 12 shoes there for $8.99 a pair. Not bad for someone who's on a budget and can't afford to spend $100 on a pair of shoes.

I'm envious. I saw the Rocks play SA in San Antonio earlier in the season (the 90-84 loss) and had awesome seats from my brother-in-law, the rich guy with the season tickets, and what struck me during the game (we were in the center lower level, on the side of the Rockets bench, and very, very close to the court) is just how freakin' gigantic Yao really is, and how mobile he can be for such a huge guy. That, and how big Scola is. Easily 6' 10", with long arms. A mixed bag with those who played. Alston shot poorly and had me yelling several times at him, but made some good passes. Bonzi had a poor game and couldn't find the basket. Shane, James and Head all played well. A breakout game for Scola... 10-11 shooting and only 1 TO in 30 minutes. Mistakes on D, but made a big impact. Hayes played just 13 minutes as a result.

I wish I could see more games live. There's no comparison, and I watch all the games on LP, and NBATV. Kudos for scoring your seats and thanks for the recap!

I mentioned in the post-game thread how I saw Yao getting on the team bus after the game. And yes, his size is almost impossible to comprehend until you see him up close. Scola is bigger than I thought and Rafer is smaller than I thought. So it was good to finally see all the guys in person.

I was there too and at least you got some pictures. I read on the MSG website if you bring your (video)camera it will be taken so you can pick it up after the game i guess, but everybody in the building had a damn camera. Can some1 please explain me how the rules and regulations are regarding (video) camera's before and during NBA games ?
