Man, what a hell of a game!!! I am proud to say that I am a Rockets fan that just bleeds Rocket blood. I was one of the very few soldiers walking around w/ a Yao jersey and my wife was wearing a T-Mac jersey. Walking into the enemy's camp is an adventure. Getting clowned everywhere we went when we entered the AAC. But we kept our head up. The place was just pakced and very very loud!! The game was just intense compared to it being on TV. Man, I lost my freaking voice! Down 8 in the 4th, I never gave up hope. T-Mac is simply amazing in the clutch! The man is destined for the playoffs. Just being there at the game, playoff intensified, was just remarkable. I took a sh!tload of pics from my nosebleed seats, so I will be posting it as soon as I can. HOUSTON AREA ROCKET FANS, GO OUT AND SUPPORT YOUR SOLDIERS AT THE TOYOTA CENTER!!!!
The drive from Austin to Dallas was sooooooo worth it. Me, my sister, 1 guy in a Yao jersey, and one couple in Rockets jerseys were the only Rockets fans in Sections 318 and 319. We were going crazy after T-Mac hit that shot and we were going even crazier after Stackhouse missed. Mavs fans were in disbelief. It was great to walk out of AA and overhear Mavs fans saying, "we suck" and "dirk sucks." I hope the Rockets finish the job in Houston. I am begging everyone that goes to our home games to PLEASE BE LOUD. Dallas fans get ridiculously loud, compared to the two Rockets home games I went to this year, they make Houston fans look like a joke. BE LOUD HOUSTON!
Dude, we were in Section 328! We stuck out like sore thumbs, but who gives a ****!!! The Rockets kicked the Mavericks ass!!! And by the way, the front of ESPN.com:
you can't compare regular season games to the playoffs. i was there last year and it was definitely LOUD. i know a lot of people; me included that lost our voice. good job representing houston though!
I went to game 3 last year and except for a moment where Rox fans started the "Kobe Sucks" cheer it was quiet. I was even told to sit down several times.
Are you the couple caught on TV at the end of the game? I thought that was very touching and braving. Salute and May you two happy for ever!!
i was in the lower bowl, in fact, i had front row seats. if you were in the nose bleeds, where the REAL fans are, then you probably heard and saw a different game than I did. me, my friend (we're both in college) and some bald guy with a ton of tattoos (he rocked!) were the only people in the ENTIRE SECTION who stood up at ALL during that game (which was a good game that we WON!)
hey i saw you guys in the upper 300s. You guys were loud..or a bunch of rockets fans..dont' know if it was you guys. good job. Go Rox. I was in section 114 row G. I went with my friend- mavs fan. I wore a YAO shirt and was basically the only guy screaming for the Rox in my area. It was a blast. Watching Sura hit those 3s in the basket in front of me was classic! I'm going to game B in Houston. Let's close this out.
props to the guy and girl who were on tv at the end. hats off. and seriously. we need to make some CRAZY MVP chants.
