From my first NBA game outing: 1. Looking from up top, Yao Ming is not just taller but also much thicker than bulls center Tyson Chandler 2. Marcus Fizer scored too easily on Cato. (4 or 5 times in 2nd quarter or 3rd quarter) 3. Overall Ming seems paying too much attention to avoid fouls 4. Most of the time when Ming in the game, it is Yao Ming who does the throw-in, not the guards. 5. Rockets ally-hoop really a lot. 6. There is a lot going on on the court at TV commercial time. 7. Yao Ming sat by and talked to Boki on the bench all the time. 8. Rockets is not a bad team, but this game is tough for a Rockets-fan-to-be. 9. Yao's block on a dunk was nullified by a meaningless EG foul. 10. Cat's shot right before half time is something.
Thank you. I would just like to say Marcus Fizer is terrible. So is Tyson Chandler. And Jay Williams was horrible. Why didn't he play? He is worried about fouls. You are only allowed to have 6. The stupid refs always call fouls on him. That's why he is always acting. And yes. Yao Ming and Bostjan Nachbar are very good friends... This must have been the first basketball game you have attended.
i was there too, and it was disgusting. there was a whole section of the crowd that was rooting for yao ming...not the rockets, but yao ming. if yao would score, theyd go crazy. cat's shot WAS crazy. i thought we played like crap, basically, and missed like 15 free throws. that was DISGUSTING. the other thing me and my friends noticed was in pregame warmups, boki was not missing. he was seriously hitting EVERYTHING. we were like wow...hes awesome. however, he didnt play at all. that was pretty messed up as well.
Why is that disgusting? If Yao did not play for the Rockets, the seats would be filled with Bulls fans. You think the crowd went there to root for the Rockets? In an indirect way, these type fans actually help the Rockets as the referees will be less likely to make calls against Yao. There were a couple of times, they could have called Yao for fouls that were either overlooked or attributed to another player. As he gains experience and more Chinese fans around the country go the games, these calls will get even more favorable.
