Large Anti-Israel Rally Planned In Washington The white supremacy group National Alliance is planning a large demonstration-and-rock-concert entitled "Rock Against Israel" this weekend outside the Capitol building in Washington, D.C. The organizers are claiming that the rally will be the "largest gathering of white nationalists at the U.S. Capitol in history." The East Coast Anti-Fascist Network is one of a few left-wing pro-PA groups that have come out flatly against the Nazi rally. The group notes that while Nazi assemblies in other cities have been "shut down and chased out, so far they've been given a free pass in DC. Over the past year they've held three rallies at the Israeli embassy and two at the German Embassy. Their last rally had over 200 people with little to no organized opposition. This has to stop... We're tired of seeing fascist movements keep growing because many don't take fascism and the possibility of its emergence seriously. Sure they're a long way from taking over the country, but 300 boneheads coming out to demonstrations, building bombs, dreaming about gas chambers and ethnic cleansing is 300 too many... It should be clear to people that we're not going down there because we support Bush's government or the Israeli government or any government for that matter. We're organizing with one purpose: to drive the Nazis off the streets and undermine their confidence and ability to organize, or even go out into public without getting a boot to the head." Possibly the only Jewish group to respond to the planned rally is Shuva , a Jerusalem- and New York-based movement dedicated to promoting Aliyah [Jewish immigration to Israel] in the face of threats such as the above. Noting that the white supremacists and Muslim anti-Jewish groups have "developed a working relationship," founder Shifra Hoffman says, "Come home to Israel now, before it's too late." In a related item, the Austrian police raided the offices and weapons storehouses of neo-Nazi organizations in Vienna and other cities last week. They found many guns, submachine guns, automatic rifles, explosives materials, and ammunition, as well as much Nazi propaganda material.
I am pro shut the hell up middle east. It has been 3,000 years or something, and they can't figure it out.
Well, I am pro-Palestine, because of your title. Actually it's because I am anti-zionism.(not anti-semitic)
So you're against a sure-to-be sparsely attended anti-Israel "event" put on by a much-loathed neo-Nazi group? Wow. Way to take a bold stand, my friend. Is there anyone (besides National Alliance members) that has actually come out in favor of this event?
