Juse heard on 610; Marbury to Clippers in draft day trade.

    610 just stated that a draft day trade includes Marbury going to the Clippers for Dooling and extra picks. The deal is supposed to be announced during the draft. If this is true, the Clippers are starting to scare me. They gave the Rockets all they could handle last year and they will be even better. I thought I should just pass this on.

    Marbury is good and all, but he doesn't give them anything in the West. All that being said, he's a given, which is what the Clippers need. They have not gambled well in the past. Another failed big man would be an embarassment.

    Damn! Marbury, Richardson, Odom and Miles on the same team- that's awesome. They will kick some serious ass next year...too bad they don't have any defense yet. Hopefully this doesn't go through. We've got enough players in the West. BTW, why would the Nets do this?

    If this trade does go through, would it be easier for the Rockets to move up to the number 7 pick? The Nets would have both the second and seventh pick, and I assume they would want to take a point guard to help Dooling replace Marbury. We could trade 13 and 18 for 7, so the Nets could pick up either Cook or Tinsley at 13. I'm assuming they will go with either Brown or Curry at 2. At 7, the Rockets would be guarenteed Joe Johnson and they would still have n outside ahot at Rodney White. Just an idea.

    Actually Almu also reported Byron Scott on NJ radio saying the Nets would never trade Marbury.. unless he wants a trade


    and why would he want a trade to the clips????
