While I was in college, it was easy to excuse my self from Jury Duty. Is there any way possible to be exempt now? I see the list of qualifications and exemptions. The only legit thing I can think of is one of the qualifications is "is of sound mind and good character" how would they prove that?

I few years ago I had a vacation planned when my jury duty appointment was so I asked to be rescheduled. Was told I'd get a new notice in the mail but never got one. Not sure if that was a fluke or not but was fine with me.
Just write down on the return slip, "you hate black, jew, white, mexican, or asian people". Just pick one. Works for me! Guess which one i pick?
I got picked for jury duty about a week ago. I say this. Its something you should do once in your life to see how it all works. We found this dude guilty and because he had already gotten 2 strikes on him already, he got 25 years in prison, but the judge said that he might get out in 6 on pro role and good behavior. But I got to say it was pretty brutal when the judge read out that we had found him guilty, his wife just busted out crying, it made you feel like **** to be honest, cause imo it was such a petty crime but it is what it is.
Agree. It's not as bad as people make it out to be. If you have any semblance of an opinion during the screening you probably won't be picked anyway. If you don't really give any answers or stay silent you're more likely to be picked.
I got my first summons ever this year and I went to that little courthouse/tax office on Chimney Rock on a Tuesday. Showed up about 20 minutes before I was supposed to be there, handed my summons to a clerk, stood for a bit, went into the courtroom when called, sat around for another 10 minutes or so, and finally the Judge stood up and told us that everybody on the docket had pleaded out, thanked us, etc, etc. What courthouse where you summoned to. If it's downtown you might be screwed. If it's a smaller courthouse, you will be in and out most likely.
