The day LeBron James faces his opt-in clause for the final year of his current contract.

After Golden State demolishes Cleveland in the Finals for the 3rd time, LeBron may facing Free Agency once again. Rockets will have to operate over the cap to get him, which means that we would have to work an opt-in and trade deal with Cleveland, ala CP3.

If LeBron chooses to become a Rocket, he would have to forego Free Agency a few days later on July 1st (preventing him from even speaking to teams like the Sixers and Lakers). If June 29th comes and goes with no opt-in, we lose out on the LeBron sweepstakes altogether.

Game 4 of the NBA Finals is June 8th. If the Cavs get swept (which I think they will), that give him exactly 3 weeks to make a decision on whether or not he wants to become a Rocket. It also gives us three weeks to think find a way to offload Ryan Anderson's contract. Me thinks DMorey will get to work this week.

The only positive I got out of tonight's game was the slight glimmer of hope of landing LeBron in the offseason. The Cavs WILL get run over in the Finals.
