With all the appreciation threads I want to appreciate for a moment the jumping the gunners here. Let's jump the gun here in the 2nd quarter and remind ourselves: -The roster we have today July 5th is the same roster we will have start of season -Lowry and Mchale want to kill each other and martin as well. They all hate each other and are not getting paid to play basketball for living. Even though lowry is pretty darn good, we all know everything about lowry and martins relationship with mchale, and the plans for them in relation to the team. As jumping the gunners we know lowry is done with rockets or that we cannot trade him for more than a billy goat and a bag of weed. We will get nothing for lowry and jumping from a high place might be the only option. -As jumping the gunners we all know that there are no more trades happening and that we are not getting anyone else. -Jumping the gunners know Lull is not going to play and dmo will suck.. or maybe not. Doesn't matter because our whole world rests around what ramon sessions will do (incidentally fan favorite at one time) - As jumping the gunners, we must remind ourselves that lamb and that guy that doesn't like to fly ,and that other .. yeah they dude all suck. We might as well trade them now and if someone wants to bang my girlfriend that's fine too. - As jumping the gunners we are shaking our heads at the fact that there is a budget. Even though we may 'walk away from a deal' for a few bucks at the car dealership, as jumping the gunners when talking rockets , we must break our budget and overpay at all times. Forget the new CBA and trying to make sure.. we need our team with ALL the free agents and ALL the all stars we want it TODAY. - As jumping the gunners we know that championships are won only in july and the other 11 months don't matter at all. - As jumping the gunners we know basically everything and are involved in every aspect of all negotiations with all teams, at all times during this intensive trade and sign period. Since we are jumping the gunners we know this means nothing more than Le$, .. Even though cuban is playing CBA and shedding barea one year, and terry the next, cuban is god, and Le$ is driving our team to hell. - As jumping the gunners many of us want us to tank, but also want to complain if we dont have a team that will win.. to jumping the gunners complaining is the most important thing.. It's part of the jumping the gunners decree to complain incessantly. - As jumping the gunners it's so nice to have it all figured out in be inside morey and le$ head .. - As jumping the gunners it feels good to be a leading role model of positive feelgood for the rockets team.if I didn't know better I might think the jumping the gunners could give tony robbins a run for his money in terms of motivational speaking.. Jumping the gunners = positivity.. Go rockets! Good job jumping the gunners! You guys are awesome!!
Well thank you, as a "Jumping the Gunnner" I would like to say sometimes it more fun to speculate and let emotion drive the board. I was really angry as was most on this board this off season, but would clutchfans be as fun if we were all like " Well, Morey is a good guy and Les really cares. We may have some misfortunes but hey tomorrow is another day". I completely agree that people jump the gun ( me included ) but some times its fun to react in the moment
Dude i'm sure the majority of us aren't blatantly kissing Morey's behind, we just know that the offseason just started and are waiting to see how things play out, instead of calling for heads when there's still alot of moves that can happen. Morey haters can't comprehend that for whatever reason. And if we're optimistic, were just "blind". If you hate Morey, then you can hate him, just accept that others don't share that obsession and stop attacking them.
Exactly. There is plenty of offseason left and everything has went as planned. I am so glad he missed out on almost everyone. Now the real Morey job can be done with the youth movement and rebuilding phase.
I'm actually pro Morey , and I do believe it gets out of hand but my point was it's fun every once in a while to have a few threads of people worked up
