Sure, there are a lot of obvious things Yao brings to the game, but people are forgetting about a lot of the not-so obvious impacts he will have on our team:

    1) We should now win 85% of center related jump balls.
    2) We can make it extremely difficult for a passer to pass the ball in from half court at the end of games.
    3) Steve, Cuttino, et al can learn how to complain to the refs in a different language.
    4) Whenever the ball gets stuck inbetween the rim and the backboard, no one will have to jump anymore to get it down.

    hmmm....any others?

I don't know about any others, but I just imagined Cuttino speaking Chinese and nearly burst my spleen laughing so hard.

From what ive seen Yao Ming actually loses many if not most Jumpball situations..especially against shorter athletic players...part of the problem is that those shorter players get a head start..in some ways..cause yao has to really wait for the ball to get high (to its peak and make a move) from what ive seen players kind of steal the tap from him... I think the average ref doesnt throw the ball much higher than Yao Ming's reach...and that or some reason leaves him at a disadvantage.....

I dunno the exact sscience...just my observation so far

Yeah, when Cat hits a game winner, Steve can jump on his back like he always does and Yao can just walk up and hug them, that way it looks more like a love-for-the-game/team thing rather than a public display of homosexual affection.

Or Yao can shoot 100% from the line for his carreer when he learns that all he has to do is lean forward and shoot a layup. Automatic 2 every time down the court.

When we win a championship, Ming will not need a ladder to cut down the nets!:)

I actually don't want Yao jumping really high, stressing those dogs. We should leave jumpball to the Center, Eddie Griffin.

Yao Ming, meanwhile, can revolutionize the power forward position.

Yao can play point guard sitting on the floor.

On a related note....when I imagined the first meeting between Yao and Cat or Steve(or their first time on the court),my first thoughts were of something like the scene with Jackie Chan and Chris Tucker from "Rush Hour". You know,Steve and Cat talking loudly up at Yao,"Do you understand the words coming out of my mouth?" :D

We also can use Yao Ming to bring the ball in easier in some of these situations.

Yao will be the easiest Rocket to stalk of all time- You can always see his head above any other.

BBS stalkers take their position at the Galleria, Whole Foods,
    etc.
