I'm honestly not sure, but at least we didn't give up EG, Tuck, or Capella

Westbrook is a clear improvement over CP3.

Cp3 couldn't even get seperations against anyone anymore, not even centers.

You go big or go home, I'd rather die a dramatic death with Westbrook than a slow aging death with Chris Paul

100%. Untradeable contact unless you want a recent MVP. Got em!

I think this is a move the Rockets felt like they had to make, especially if Harden was pushing for it.

This will probably be the most polarizing trade the Rockets have made in recent history.

Personally, I’m okay with it. It’ll be interesting to see how well WB fits in with our system but we got a bit younger and more athletic, albeit more risky as a team.

Morey needs to round of the rest of the roster now. Get another solid wing and a good back up 5 that is actually over 6’10.

No terrible trade. Harden, Morey and Tillman have lost their ****ing collective minds. Hmmm leta continue our ISO jacking 3s system and bring in of the worst 3pt shooters in the league. SOLID

I'm okay with the general framework of a CP3 for Westbrook trade. Obviously a sweetener had to be there.

Picks are all at least top-4 protected so that's a little less distressing when it comes to the long horizon.

However, you have to imagine that '24-'26 window will be a time where the Rockets will be doing something like rebuilding as Harden and Westbrook are 35+ and off their current deals, so the picks will probably be pretty good.

My vote is that the cost was too high and I don't like the deal, but my disapproval is gentle and I'm willing to see how this goes. I would have been happy to approve the same number of picks and swaps if it was just, say, '21-'24.

Hahahah might as well make it entertaining and clearly Harden wanted Westbrook over CP3, guess that relationship wasn't that good. I never liked CP3 and neither do Westbrook, but you cannot deny the crazy talent the latter has. This would be quite the story and we had to change it up. I actually didn't think I would like it at all as I expected CP3 to be there alongside him, but a backcourt of WB & Harden is just awesome.

Chris Paul was the only player on this team not playing worth his contract.

He was the main issue. Bye Bye.

Obviously a good trade - Russ is still a semi-MVP candidate. When was the last time CP3 in that conversation? 10 years ago?

Man.. Russ is exactly the Energy Player Harden needs since his game causes comas. Russ with his IDGAF attitude with the media playing in Houston with the negative bias is going to be ABSOLUTELY AMAZING TO WATCH. But I have seen Russ lose games launching cement. During Hate Watch 2018 and 2019, I was yelling at the screen for them to give the ball to Russ so he could lose them the game..

The only saving grace is this is Harden's team and not Russ'.

I'm excited that's for sure though. If Russ uses his experiences that he got being the guy then goes back to the Young Thunder days alongside Harden goodnight.

last time I was this apprehensive about a player traded to the Rockets, Harden scored b2b 40 pt in his first two games with no practice time and became the best Rockets since Hakeem..

No, I think it's gonna be a catastrophe. I think we didn't get any better now, Westbrook is gonna start a rapid decline, and we traded our picks that could be part of a rebuild in a few years.

We could have started a rebuild in 2/3 years with the awful CP3 contract. We won't be able to rebuild for almost a decade now.
