Journalist with the hard hitting questions

Journalism schools are failing society. Or is it the TMZ effect? Either way, shameful.

 

JaVale had an answer to a question before this, he was thanking his mom. JaVale talked about joining team USA affords him bragging rights to also bring an olympic metal home, (like his mom, since she was an olympic medalist).

Answer was so sincere, that this next guy (Joe Vardon, The Athletic) thought maybe JeVale's mom died and JaVale was paying 'tribute'. Hence the misinformed question.

Was a bad mistake no doubt , but I didn't get the sense reporter meant to offend... Still doesn't make it right and deserves some clowning.
