Attention journalists and headline editors: Stop using the phrase, "Houston, we have a problem." Just stop it. Stop. First off, you don't even have it right. It's, "Houston, we've had a problem." Second, it was only funny/interesting/pithy the first time someone used it after Apollo XIII. So stop. Just stop it. Is anyone else bothered by these crappy clichés?
I think people from Houston complaining about others using that phrase has become a bothersome cliché.
Oooo! I got one. How about when journalists have a story about someone related to Houston, and they say "Houston, we have a problem." ? Man, I hate that. Do you know about any other "Journalism Cliché"?
