The kid looked strong. He's from the Spring area. I played against him my senior year in high school. I didn't get a chance to face him because he had pitched the day before. There is another pitcher named Chris George who is from the Klein area. The Kansas City Royals brought him up in late July. Anybody know either of these guys?
Chris George graduated from Klein with me -- he was in a couple of my classes. Kinda weird thinkin' that he's pitchin' in the big time now.
I went to the same high school as this kid. Spring High. He was two years behind me, I was C/O 97. He was the only reason we went to the state playoffs. He is already getting paid by The Marlins. I think he got over 2 million as a signing bonus in a 3yr 7mil deal. He built his parents a really nice house not too far from me in Spring. He is looking really good, killer debut and awesome Minor league numbers. Nolan Ryan Jr. I bet.
When I went to high school in my last year, we won the state championship. I don't pay attention to high school sports very much anymore though.
