We may yet see him again. He will be a late season free agent.

Outperformed Verlander AND Kershaw in the World Series. The Robert Horry of this era.

I still think he may resign a small 2 year deal once they are immediately able to put him on the 60 day IL.

Maybe they have a handshake deal.

They just could not offer him arbitration and needed the roster spot.

Earned a lot less and contributed a lot more than many players during our title runs. Hope he bounces back healthy later this season and lands on his feet.

Urquidy was like a bull dog, he had so much fight in him. And he was smart because he could make adjustments when the league caught up to him. Seems he might get tagged for a few games and then he’d tweak his delivery and he’d be good again.

I would like the Astros resign him, but there might not be any room for him. Too many fellas coming back from missing whole seasons at a time. McCullers, Garcia, Javier…

I am over Lance M, they can bury him in the H and he can do his GOD awful HEB commercials, but I am tired of waiting for him season after season.....I would not be mad if they could get ANYTHING decent for him

I'm sure he is just as tired of it as you.

He pitched his arm off in 2017, helped the Astros win a World Series and then pitched in 2018 knowing he was going to need major surgery.

He came back in 2020 then hurt his arm again in 2021 leading the rotation into the playoffs.

He returned in 2022 but was never completley recovered. He pitched anyway and helped them win another World Series.

Lance is an Astros legend and I hope he still something left, but he sacrificed a huge part of his prime to help get 2 World Series and deserves more respect than he gets

It would be true for anyone. It won't bring joy and happiness, but having millions is always better than not in a given situation. It's the cost of those millions which might not be worth it and that is the LOVE of money, not having it.

To covet is universal. The poor covet and it's called ENVY. The rich covet and it's called GREED. And each thinks it's the other side who is evil.
