Everyone keeps saying we need to trade for a young center with high potential.

Am I the only one who sees Jordan Hill as a "yound center with high potential"? Hes extremely athletic, plays great D, has a smooth jumpshot, and can finish hard at the rim. He seems to play with more and more confidence with each game and i really get a good vibe about him. Wheres the need to go out and get a young center like Dcousins or Gortat?

I think we really should focus on getting a "superstar" and not worry about the Center position.

Please go easy on me(im a first time poster) and let me know what you think

    He's a PF. We need a center.

Meh, plenty of teams have PFs masquarading as Cs. We just need another length player who can contribute meaningful minutes. Hill is fine as a PF/C, we just need that third guy who can complement Hill and Scola.

I think we are all waiting to see If Jordan can take that next step. Can he become a consistent factor like Luis? Can he clean up his rookie mistakes and consistenly give us tough, physical and intelligent play in the paint?

Right now he is a solid 3rd to 4th big man option.

I think he'd have to put some weight on before we could consider having him as our center. I think he's much more suited to play a 4, and even better if he can develop a consistent 15-foot jump shot. But imagine how much better we'd be if we had an even bigger (physically speaking) talent at the 5 and Hill was our young talent at the 4. The future would be looking bright.

Hill is a 4 and imo his perceived upside is greater than it really is. Ship him in a deal for a star and/or a quality center.

You just described half the C's in the league. The other half are injured and too heavy.

He doesn't play great D, and he's not a particularly strong rebounder either. Check out his defensive rebounding rate -- its very poor.

He's better suited as a PF who can occasionally slide over to play C.

Ive actually been impressed with his man to man defense. He doesnt take fakes at all. His rotations are bad, but he can improve on that.

Hill can play c but I'd prefer he move back to the four and add another 7 footer, that would improve our interior defense.

Jordan Hill really needs to develop his left hand. He's so right-hand dependent, he was confused on where to tip it on the jump ball and didn't even bother to jump (the way the ROckets were positioned, he'd have to tip it with his left hand).

It's time to start him, the excuse for not doing it earlier was that he played so well with Miller. Well, he did FANTASTIC with the starters in the 4th.

He had a great game. Its just a consistency thing with him, but I have no problem with him getting the start given what I saw from him in the 4th quarter.

I think it is more about effort than ability for Hill. It seems that Cousins pissed off Hill, which motivated him. Hill pulled down 6 defensive rebounds and 9 total rebounds in 22 minutes.

Rockets outrebounded the Kings 50 to 38.

If he could model his game after Stoudimire in new york he will be unstoppable......He has to be aggressive and active to be productive (ive said that before!!).......IT IS WRITTEN.
