    BOULDER, Colo. (Reuters) - A DNA sample taken from John Mark Karr, the schoolteacher who claims to have been with child beauty queen JonBenet Ramsey when she died in 1996, does not match DNA found in her underwear, a Denver TV station reported on Monday.

    KUSA-TV cited two unnamed sources in the report, which comes hours before Karr was due for his first Colorado court appearance. Amid skepticism over Karr's account, legal experts have said that a DNA match was critical to the prosecution case.

    The bad thing is he can go free. While I don't believe he did it and DNA agrees, the guy is messed up. Mentally, I believe that he believes it happened. And IMO, he is a child molester or at least some kind of preditor.

    yeah he is a child molester and child p*rn freak. isn't he charged with some sort of unrelated child p*rnography crime?

    I along with others had many doubts about this for a long time, but I can certainly understand many people wanting to believe it was true ... I can only hope that he gets punished in some sort of way for the extra unnecessary pain that he caused many people

    And now the dude will probably write a book and make money off this or something.

    I had a feeling that it would turn out this way too when I started hearing the reasons of doubt, especially his family, including his ex wife saying he wasn't in the area at the time. But yeah, this guy is messed up and he's got plenty of prior incidents to be watched carefully from now on. What would be nice is that if he has some oustanding charges in Thailand, that we send him back there to face punishment.

    People It was so obvious this guy was lying from the beginning.. Why after so many damn years confess to this?

    The man was going to be in a Thailand Prison for sex crimes related to children... No way he wanted that.. Thailand Prison under those circumstances you might as well kill yourself...

    I saw that his family already sold the rights to produce a tv movie. I wonder if this development kills the deal.

    also, I was watching geraldo (yes he is sensational but not unreliable) and he was reporting that this is the SECOND time that professor tracy (the guy who led police to karr) has got a major scoop and produced a suspect that was false. apparently he made a documentary on the jon benet story that was shown in britain accusing another person back in 2004. someone investigated the poorly blacked out police report that was shown on the documentary by way of the case number of the suspect he put forth. they found out the person was not a suspect and was not even near the area at the of the crime.

    anyhow...makes you wonder about the prof. maybe he is just trying to make a name for himself off the crime or maybe he was involved somehow.
