Jonathan Wells was placed on IR and is out for the year with a thigh injury . They promoted Jason Anderson from the practice squad. Looks like Vernand Morency will start but he may not even play because he has the flu. He will be backed up by Tony Hollings. Thats good news for us.
Gary Walker's out, our top 2 RBs (and possibly top 3) are sitting. If we could just get Andre Johnson on the bench, then I wouldn't worry even a little bit that we win this game.
On a side note, it's depressing that we used high draft picks on Morency and Hollings, yet neither is better than Wells, who we had from Day 1. Of course, we also used a high pick on a backup quarterback. This house needs to be cleaned.
Sweet, with their top 2 backs out, hopefully they run the ball even on 3rd and long situations. Oh wait, they've been doing that since their existance.
I saw a stat today that Alex Smith has 0 TDs and 10 INTs this year! Something for the Texans to look forward to when he plays the best game of his early NFL career on Sunday - 4 TDs, 0 INT game against us.
I think Vernand Morency is better than Wells anyway. Hopefully Hollings will be the one playing. We also need to activate Buchanon so we can seal the loss.
Perhaps he's trying to cave so he can rejoin his buddy. I'm sure Reggie would prefer Carr over Smith.
Texans are reportedly trying to lure this guy away from the Stros. Bobblehead did such a nice job on this it was begging to be used again.
