The games w/o Barry seemed so rough. But with him the team looks so smooth. Any thoughts? :)

A game with Barry on our side is like a drop of sweat gliding across the top of his head... soooooo smooth and easy.

A game with Barry injured on the bench is like the same drop of sweat dribbling on Mutombo's head. It's rough and nasty...

We only play 4 guards. So everybody counts.

I don't want where to start, but let me just say you have issues, brother.

JB is a "builder". he's been traded soo many times to crap-to-moderate- teams, helps them become good, then gets traded again. I hope we dont do the same to him, instead get him a ring this or next year!

I've always wondered why JB could never stick to one team. Is it an attitude problem? He seems like the white version of Jimmy Jackson. And maybe he wasn't given enough time, but Atlanta sucked and will continue to suck for awhile.

Don't get me wrong, I'm a big JB fan and love his energy (not a big fan of the fast break pullup 3 though, the JVG mentality in me screams "Why?") but always wondered the vagabond career he's had. BTW, does anyone know where he makes his offseason home? Just wondered if any of the places he's moved to had made an impression on him.

I'm sure I remember reading that he lives in Atlanta during the offseason. He chose the lowly Hawks over the Nuggets so he could be with his family.

That's good. He wants to come back, that means we can have him for relatively cheap. If he really wants to play, can we have him pay to play? I mean, is there a rule saying that if a player pays the team to be part of it, does that take money off the cap for that team?

I think the X-Factor now is Mike James. Seems like whenever he has a great game shooting, the Rockets run on all cylinders.

Barry is the heart and soul of the team, and what I mean by that, is how he allows his emotions to flood the court. He makes the games that much more exciting.

Most exciting play? The Fast Break 3.

I do sense energy on the team when Barry's on the floor. He's been great except for that prolonged shooting slump.

Mike James' offense does seem like the barometer of when the Rockets get rolling, but Sura's play lately hasn't been the same.

And that has put greater scrutiny on James' decision making. Sunday he had an awesome game with 6 assists, the previous game zero.

Sura doesn't really have to score much, but his game has not been there lately. Which is maddening since I really do like the Sura/James combo.

So I agree the x-factor is Sura. If he can get back to where he was - making everyone on the team better - we're going to be tough to beat.
