Heard the first 13 minutes before they went to a break and I arrived at work. The bad news is the buffoon (John Granato) "interviewed" him. Give me a couple minutes to settle in before doing the recap.
I flipped it on just in time to hear them hang up with Jon, so the recap will be appreciated. Thanks!
It was pathetic. Granato opened up by asking JB about the Carolina Panthers cheerleaders story in Tampa. It caught JB off guard and clownboy didn't have the good sense to drop it right away and move on. Next up he asked JB about college football (Va Tech, the Heisman, etc). All of this took 6 minutes with zero discussion of the Rockets. When it turned to NBA discussion, Granato talked about the Hornets with JB, not the Rockets, for the first 3-4 minutes. The last 3-4 minutes were about the Rockets with Granato having no idea what to ask JB. He obviously made no preparation. To summarize, the team effort was weak, a lot of mistakes were made, there was a 2 hour film session yesterday, blah blah blah. Waste of time. Too bad Lance wasn't there to add a little bit of substance. Granato tries so hard to make everything a joke but JB wasn't laughing very much this time. 610 should have had Matt or Adam call in from home to interview JB. Wow, sometimes Granato is a complete disaster by himself. He is far and away the weakest link in the 610 chain.
I agree. Granato is a substantive joke. Just make him the designated shill for those promo spots (i.e. Klein's, Luc and Dom Mandola, etc...) and leave the heavy work to everyone else.
