http://jocrf.org/ Anyone have any experience with this group? A longtime friend of mine had her daughter tested by them at age 16 and the daughter, now 25, has really excelled-- due to finding a profession/occupation which requires those things at which she is innately gifted and talented. We are all familiar with the staggering reports about how much hostility most people carry for their job... they have an office in Houston, too!
Wow, that's pretty expensive. I remember the high school running tests like this for free when I was a kid.
A cheaper option could be to see if her school offers the ASVAB Career Exploration Program. It was offered in the Intro to Business class when I as in high school. Its probably not as good as the testing center, but its free.
Did you become a bricklayer? I'm sure you would have been a champion bricklayer by now if you pursued that path.
Actually I have one. She's a looker. If you pick up the Johnson O'Connor fees for my two younger daughters I'll post it here. Okay? Send me a copy of the receipts...
As they say, you get what you pay for... My friend claims that this service is a difference-maker. She has a poll of one (her daughter) on which she makes this claim so I'm looking wider and deeper for confirmation. My oldest at home is only almost-11 so it's all a bit off for her but I want to consider this for down-the-road.
