Ramones guitarist Johnny Ramone is suffering from prostata cancer. He is hospitalized in LA and is dying.

Drummer Marky Ramone told reporters of the Rolling Stone magazine that Johnny has been diagnozed prostata cancer 4 years ago and now the whole body is attacked. He told the magazine that he is in such bad and weak condition that he is not even able to reply the "recover soon" emails from all over the world.

According to Marky Ramone it was not Johnny's lifestyle that caused the cancer since he's never been a boozer and he never smoked and was always in excellent health condition. But as soon as cancer has attacked a body it doesn't matter if your are healthy or not.

Three years ago singer Joey Ramone also died from cancer while one year later bassist Dee Dee Ramone passed away while overestimating a drug dose. If Johnny would die too, then Marky would be the last Ramone standing.

Get well Johnny and again thanks for the thousands of hours of good times you gave me with your music. Hey Ho, Let's Go !
