I don't have a link. I saw it on NBA TV daily last night it was a clip fom TNT overtime. Thompson said that he don't think anyboby will beat us in the west come playoff time. So for Thompson to think somehting like that you know we are playing great basketball, because he knows twice as much about basketball then those other NBA analysts.
john who-son? this doesnt sound like a jinx since ive never heard of the guy. good to know someone is giving us props though.
We still have matchup problems against Lakers/Spurs due to lack of size up front, but with the way we're playing right now, especially on the defensive end, he's not too far off from the truth I think the two games vs LA and Boston will tell a lot on how we'll fare in the postseason. Can't wait!
he was the coach of georgetown (his son inherited the team now) that produced HOF players like ewing, deke, zo, and iverson
he said we CAN beat them, but we WON'T. big difference. so he really doesn't think we can do much in the playoffs too.
The Rockets are playing exceptional TEAM basketball and no one should dismiss them lightly. There are two things that could derail the train: 1) An injury to McGrady, Deke, Battier... or any player that doesn't have a good substitute at this point. and 2) We've all heard the comment, "I just hope they haven't peaked to early." This streak and the pace of the race in the West may lead to a sort of "burn-out" through no fault of the players. They of all the teams at the top, right now, have had to make MUCH more of a push to be where they are. I just hope they can sustain their level of play into the playoffs. If so, then NO team will want to face them in the first round. Energy-wise they are equivalent to the GSW from last season's playoffs. And I think the pressure will be on the OTHER team no matter where they Rockets end up in the pecking order. I hope everyone doubts them until the very end, whatever that may be. That's what helped pull the '93-'94 Rockets together and it is definitely pulling this group together. Long live the doubters! You will squeeze the very best out of the Rockets. It may or may not be a championship this year, but until I see a letdown or matchups that spell doom, I certainly wouldn't bet against them.
Wow, be ashamed....very very ashamed. One of the greatest college basketball coaches of ALL TIME. His son took over for him at Georgetown a few years ago. Seriously man, wikipedia is your friend.
