    Rockets Notes

I guess we can expect Williams to throw some elbows when coming off screens and to flop like and Argentine soccer player...all while wearing the shortest shorts known to man.

If Stockton is talking basketball with the team we should be on the lookout for a Boozer 'pick' (bear hug) if Deron is going to take a game-winning shot.

Deron's a smart player. He has worked with Stockton previously on several occassions. For a 2nd year player to realize he doens't know everything about how to succeed in the NBA and to be willing to accept advice from an all-time great will only help him down the road.

I wonder if Rafer wouldn't mind taking a few pointers...

We should have Rafer work with our own all time great PG's.

    Kenny and Cassell

Luther needs to work on his ball handling.

In Game 1 of the Bulls-Heat series, Ben Wallace was knocked down when Shaq's large shadow collided with the Bulls' center. The official called an offensive foul on a play that was clearly a blatant flop. Shaq was called for a few other "cheap" fouls during that game and fouled at late in a close game won by the Bulls.

A good team is going to understand how the game is being officiated and make the necessary adjustments to take advantage of the situation. The Jazz didn't make the adjustments to how the game was being called in the 2nd half of Game 2 and that enabled the Rockets to parade to the foul line.

It's the playoffs. You gotta do what you gotta do to advance, even if that means taking a flop (on occassion) to draw a foul.

Why would they even want Stockton to give a pep talk??

"Well, that's correct, I've never been successful in actually winning the whole thing, but uh...I've gotten far. Now...do your best out there, guys!"

agreed. I don't know why everyone wants to berate these players. Stockton's retired, get over it.. gotta respect most aspects of his game..

Stockton: "Deron, your shorts are way too long. They need to be shorter and tighter so they firmly hug your package."

man, i was watching the spurs and mavs games last night, and they showed one of those "greatest moments in NBA playoff history" commercials and it was stockton hitting that 3 with barkley closing out...and i came to the conclusion that man, i hate the f***in jazz.

Just had to get that off my chest...

If Stockton is talking to the Jazz team the Rockets better get ready for some back screens and shots to the Kidneys.

Barkley wasn't closing, he was loafing over thinking holding his arms upright will stop the shot.

For some reason, seeing that bball card with Stockton combined with that music reminds me of the evil puppy skit they do on Conan O'Brian from time to time.
