Hey everyone. Just wondering how many John Mayer fans out there in Clutch City were going to pick up his new album Continuum. I got a chance to listen to it and it sounds great. There are some really good songs in here including a Hendrix cover of Bold As Love. It's like a mixture of his last studio album Heavier Things and the bluesy stuff he did with the Trio. I thought TRY! was amazing and recomend this one as well.

wow, and I thought i was the only John Mayer fan here. Loved his stuff even his demo CD he had, Inside Wants Out, which has the best song of his "Comfortable". Looking forward to his new CD and is anybody going to see him at the Woodlands next month? I'm going to try to make, he is like the one of the best live performers i have ever witnessed.

I've heard Mayer is a very good guitarist, not a fan of his stuff though.

You should hear him live then. It'll make a fan out of you, definitely check out Continuum. Its got a lot of great songs like Slow Dancing in A Burning Room, I Don't Trust Myself (with Loving You) and Stop This Train.

I didn't like his blues album but I've enjoyed his solo work quite a bit.

I'll definitely be picking it up. Audioslave and John Mayer releases in back to back weeks is a good thing.

Ditto, his live shows are quite a treat. I got to see him at Jones Beach here in NY with Sheryl Crow. Good stuff. I Don't Trust Myself is the jam.

btw, i find it funny that when I told my sister that his new album is coming out, she said "i don't like him anymore because he's dating Jessica Simpson"

heh, i give him props for dating her and Jennifer Love Hewitt.

Ha. Women can hurt a celeb's career like that. They take heart what's going on in the celeb's personal lives for whatever reason. Like Tom Cruise cuz of his antics his movies arent doing as good now. Guys dont care much about that. Guys themselves would sure love at chance at Katie Holmes :D

I really enjoyed the TRIO stuff... that was awesome.
Really looking forward to this new one!

As I've always said, "That voice should not be coming out of that man!" but it does and it sounds great! Plus he can play a mean guitar.

Hmmm, I might have to rethink my whole "If you listen to John Mayer, you're gay" theory...

The Mrs. and I are huge (HUGE) JM fans. Gone to every concert in Houston. We even went to see the JM3 in Minneapolis bc they weren't coming south.
In fact I have a couple of extra tickets to his show with Sheryl Crow. Uncovered but in a seat. 2 seats together. (We found closer seats so we are selling these...) They are E - Tickets though so you have trust me that I won't use them... LOL. they are just a pdf you print out and take to the show. I am not marking them up at all, will sell them for what they cost me.

Email me through the board if you are interested.

He did a "Soundstage" special on PBS with Budy Guy at the end. It was pretty damn good.

Hell Yeah. I'm looking forward to this. The Trio were awesome at the Tempe Festival this year.
