For those who may have missed it John Mayer was at the Woodlands last night and put on one hell of a show... I will post pictures when they become available.
He just released a live album with containing a set a piece from his acoustic show, with the John Mayer Trio and then a full band show. It's pretty great. We decided too late that we wanted to go and the tickets were gone. If DMB wasn't coming up in a couple weeks and we weren't moving next weekend, we would've been there.
he's amazing live, caught his show at the Rodeo in 2004 and Woodlands show with Marron 5 in Aug 2004. I try to go every year he comes here, but ends up being here on weekend when family from out of town is over. I still need to purchase the live CD concert from Woodlands in '04, his live performance of "Comfortable" is freaking epic for those who has been to shows after '04, has he ever played "Tracing" on stage? Now THATS a awesome B Side song.
Oh I missed this but I caught an Elliott Smith show the other night...was awesome but the guy seems somewhat depressed.
I wanted to go but I decided to save the cash for Carlos Santana next month! That is gonna be awesome!!!
Maybe to give you a reason to see him live again, but the rodeo show was awful and the one last night was insanely good in comparison to the Maroon 5 show. Not sure why pics and videos haven't been added to his website yet but he has a whole new look, like a marathon runner with a fight club haircut (like a monkey getting ready to be shot into space.) He came out to sing with Colbie Callat and I didn't even recognize him at first. We were sitting in the first row off the pit, great seats well worth the money we spent.
mmmm pictures of John Mayer.... You'll be my hero, Mulder! That concert was so awesome! He's one hell of a musician, and he's funny! Added bonus for the ladies that he was shirtless...
I hear Jeff Buckley will be touring with Nick Drake later this year. Am I the only one who thinks John Mayer's voice sounds like Adam Sandler's in Little Nicky?
I'm dying to see them. Drowning in excitement, really... I may have to start popping pills to keep my anxiety down.
