Anyone else notice that John Lucas III has moved ahead of Moochie as backup PG?

His defense and footspeed are MUCH better...and when he and Luther are in the game, penetration by the opponents guards is much harder.

Good. I'm all for moving Moochie as far down as possible. I hope we move him to another team soon.

Here here! In fact, I think we should all focus our attention not on lamenting Moochie's return to cheerleaderhood, but upon finding John Lucas a nice 3-related nickname, along the lines of "Mach III" or something.

Or something stupid like the Lulu backcourt.

tinman just called and requested it be called the "Sweet Lu" backcourt in honor of the 2nd greatest guard to every play the game - Lew Lloyd. Second only to Vernon Maxwell.

I found typing JL3 alot easier when referring to him in chat.

it kinda flows off the tongue...;)

Im pretty impressed with the young man so far. If he is looking this good so soon after joining the team, can you imagine how he will do once he gets fully comfortable with his teammates and the system.

He allows us to run small with Rafer and Lutha, and still score some points while Tmac rests...at one point tonight, Tmac sat for the first 7 minutes or the quarter while the Rockets increased their lead running a small lineup.

look at it this way guys, at least with the slight improvement Moochie made this year, if we ever need him(foul trouble, injuries) we can at least not cringe in horror watching him play.

I was wondering the same thing. Moochie was playing some decent minutes the last week or so, and playing OK. Then, they just pick up a guy from the NDBL who takes his playing time. With Rafer coming back and starting, it was already an interesting move bringing in another point.

It really doesn't show much trust, if at all, in Moochie's game from the coaching staff.

When we get everyone healthy, Moochie won't even be on the active roster. :D

The church league players are ahead of Moochie. The high school players are ahead of Moochie. The little dribblers are ahead of Moochie. You are ahead of Moochie. I am ahead of Moochie..... Seriously, you can't help but like the guy, but he is not an NBA player, he is living the "Rudy" dream. And he is making millions. He probably is the luckiest sports figure in the world.

By the way, did John Daivis change his last name to Lucas or what? I thought we signed the padgett clone.

But then I can't cheer "RYBO the lone White guy!" when he comes in the game.
