Are there any sf better than Joe Johnson in the draft this year? If not how can we get Johnson from the suns?

I see the Suns using JJ as a sg in the future, since Marion is a lock a thhe 3 spot, and they're doing everything they can to dump "Penny", leaving their 2 position wide open for Johnson. It'd be nice to trade for him and put him in as our stating sf in a year or two, but the Sun will probablly be asking way too much.

I'd give them either mooch and collier, KT and Langhi, or Mooch and hopefully Toronto's pick. They probablly wouldn't do it however.

I would go as far as trading our #1 pick for him.

    He's a very versatile 6 ft 8 PG/SG/SF who has a good jumper.

There is a reason Boston let him go for peanuts. I might trade our Toronto pick for him, but not our first pick.

Because they already had a glut at SG/SF...

Then why did they draft him in the first place? Why did they obtain an SG and and SF for him?

To Boston it was clear JJ wasn't going to produce for them this year like they had expected and that they were (at best) modestly hopeful he woud be a decent starting NBA player.

Boston had only 1 player worth crap under 25 prior to trading JJ and Pierce is more than solid at 2 positions. JJ had to be a substantial dissapointment for them to take on two productive but nontheless journeymen players and a highly restricted future #1 as compensation for a very highly rated (pre-draft) and fairly young 10th overall pick in the draft.

Again, 15th pick maybe, but no way is a 10th pick who has been less than expected be worth the 6th pick or so in a good, deep, draft year.
