Dumars knows his team needs a real center and can't wait the three or four years for Diop to develop. Brenda has been impressing many in his workouts and may have passed Loren on the depth chart. Dumars liked what he saw in Haywood so much he has brought him in for another workout. I am a celtics fan and i think that would be great for the celts who have 10 and 11. That would almost guarantee Diop will be there at ten but so will another of the big ten prospects. Hopefully Pau will be there for the 11th pick.

I read that Gasol pulled out on the BBS earlier, but Andy Katz is reporting that Gasol is remaining in the draft.

Pau is in. It would be great if Dumars takes Haywood cause that means Joe J. would probably slip to us.

drpepper- you don't think that the Cavs will pick Joe Johnson at number 8?

If Dumars is so high on Haywood, I don't see why we could work out a deal packaging #13 and #18, and Cato [IMG], for Detroits #9 pick. Haywood or Woods will be available at #13 for sure, so it wouldn't be a risky move for Detroit to make.

The Rockets also should be able to get one of the last true gems in the draft at the #9 pick. Their are 5 very good players that might slide at this pick. They are:

    Gasol
    Diop
    White
    Johnson
    Chandler

I would love to have ANY of those players on the Rockets next year. Even if we have to give up all 3 picks to get Detroits pick, by drafting one of those players we will have a solidified Center or small forward for years to come

Cavs would in a last resort, but the'll probably take Richardson or Pau. Who knows?
