I wish Biden would have stepped away after this term as do many people, but as someone who takes responsibility for my life, it’s a no brainer to vote for Biden over Trump. During the civil rights movement while many like MLK expressed frustration over the political situation many civil rights leaders understood that they needed to work with the political parties to get real change enacted. It’s no accident that the insider of insiders was the one to get The Civil Rights Act and several other laws passed. MLK and others were the opposite of cynicism that said both parties are terrible so we aren’t going to participate. They instead used moral and political pressure to get change. This is why I say that reflexive cynicism is as dangerous as hyper partisanship. If MLK and others had instead said the whole system is bad and we’re not going to deal with it but try for some revolution (some in the civil rights movement did take that attitude) while Civil Rights might’ve happened it probably wouldn’t have happened for much longer.
Your premise was pretty clear , you don’t believe in enacting change right now, even if that result will be delayed, you want to suck it up (and think you’re strong for it) and pick a guy that can’t completely a sentence you would be telling AA citizens to suck it up and goto the next water fountain a mile away in the 50s. It’s a pretty linear extrapolation of your stance
