Are there any sites out there that list Job Titles for online / digital media?
I asked my boss if my job title could be adjusted a bit to reflect what I am doing/skill level.

He agreed and asked me to submit suggestions. Currently I am listed as a "web producer." But I have had that title since 2000. (since 2000 I went from Web Producer, to Lead Producer, to Production Manger and then they eliminated that job and got put back to "web producer" - although am still doing the job of a production manager). I don't think I can get that job title back as it was a salaried position.

I was going to suggest "Official Clutch Fans BBS Contributor" but I don't think that will fly. :D

In all seriousness, I have been looking through Job sites to find some job titles and that has been helpful, but I wasn't sure if there was any sites out there that just flat out listed job titles. (and I have googled).

I am thinking "Senior Web Producer", or something like that. I am kind of on the border of a Producer / Developer. HTML/CSS/Flash/Photoshop, some javascript, some PHP etc.

I know we have a ton of smart people on the board and many in the industry. I would love to hear your thoughts.

    Thanks!

"Production manager" sounded better than "web producer". I mean damn, dude, Spiderman is a "web producer". :D

Sorry, I dunno, but at least "production manager" sounded like a more general term that others could look at and see some type of role for you. It sounds more official to me. With "web producer", I know it's something Inter/Intranet-related, but what that is, I have no clue. It sounds more contrived to me.

Ask him to give you the title "Grand Poobah". :D
