Sup everyone My job is looking for a graphic artist who is good at what he does. We have a lot of new websites we have to get up and running and we need some more people. The person needs to have good HTML skills and great design ability. We don't need anyone to do any big time coding mainly graphic design but still needs to understand HTML. The company is basically a web based business and we have different versions of the company coming out and need a lot of help in the department. Also will have a lot of design work including Email messages that have graphic images in them, buttons, links and banner design for websites to promote them on the networks we are a part of. The job has a really laid back environment so if anyone is interested shoot me an email at khalil@newbankaccount.net and a link to any of your work as well that way i can forward it to my boss and hopefully hook someone up.
I own a bar, but my partners manage that right now i have been in the IT industry since college and i do this full time at the moment. I'm in the marketing side of the business. Bar was more of an investment to pay off down the road.
I have a couple of people in mind that can do this. When to start and how much time/hours per week/day/month? Can I keep my FULL-TIME job and still help out?
I have to ask.. Is this a work at home kinda opening or something someone would have to travel to? Im assuming its the latter but I had to ask. If I could work at home I would be interested, but otherwise I couldnt because of my current job. - My advice is that there are some pretty good designers over in the PHOTOSHOP THE OFF SEASON thread. (http://bbs.clutchfans.net/showthread.php?t=132429) btw, where you been man? we are getting some games together this weekend. seen the thread?
Oh. okay. I could do an incredible job with the web design, but I don't think I'm gonna quit my current job. I'd have all the sites CSS based, so that the entire site look-and-feel could be changed easily just by swapping out a css file. This would also make it much easier to separate content from site design. AND.. the site could dynamically load different css files based on the screen dimensions of the viewer. So, if the viewer is on a cell phone, the site would load a css file that would display the site on a tiny screen with small fonts. If the viewer was on a huge display, the site would display a designed that's specifically created for large displays. I'd have all fonts scalable, and all colors with contrast for the visually impaired.... ... oh, I'd make it ALL good!
Yeah it would have to be here for the most part. You (MIGHT) be able to do it from home but I think it just makes it easier if they are here. I was thinking about posting in there but I didn't want to derail the thread. I'm thinking Part time/full time because we are launching a bunch of new things and need to be pumping out stuff asap....if they want to work more than full time and get more hours im sure they can. I started out the Graphics/Web guy but then went more into the marketing aspect of it because we were a startup and i was learning all of it so we hired 2 guys that are programmers 1 is a designer as well, but now we have the need for someone to do strictly Design/Web.
