Hey just wanted to bounce off some info off you guys about an interview I have with the Rockets tomorrow morning. It's for an Event Marketing & Booking Group Sales internship. I just need some pointers/good insight for those of you who are in sales as to what to say/look for in such an interview. Also if anyone has interviewed with a position with the Rockets before that insight would be great as well. I know I started a thread like this a while ago in the summer but I'm too lazy to do a search for it.

    # Handle of the distribution of tickets once they are returned from the box office.
    # General office tasks including filing, copying, and faxing.
    # Fill ticket orders.
    # Interact with various companies by passing out flyers, etc.

Thanks man. It's funny because the main HR lady called me the last week in November to see if I would want to come in for an interview, but i wasn't qualified because I have already graduated and the position wasn't paid (it was for college credit only). Needless to say I was dissapointed that I was highly qualified for the job but just didn't meet the requirements.

Then the day after the game (Thursday) I check back on the team job site and they had changed it to paid (min. wage) so I called back the HR coordinator that afternoon and got the interview set for tomorrow. I'm telling you man I'm a big believer in karma- it's funny how things work themselves out sometimes. Just needed some good Rockets mojo from the game on Wed.

Yeah the pay isn't that great but I can manage for 6 months on minimum wage. Supposedly they have had some other people who were interested in the position, but I was the first to get called in for an interview. I'd rather get a job where I actually enjoy going to work, even for $5.85. I'd actually be learning something and it would be a great place to make contacts/would also look good on my resume.

Do you know of any other internships for this summer that the rockets may be offering to college students? Especially in the marketing department?
